Years ago, our founder Oli featured a designer’s work in his university research.

That designer just joined Smith as our creative director.

Meet Adam Gill.

Adam has more than 20 years in design. Working with global brands, and start-ups alike.

He spent almost 15 of them working independently – on brand and editorial projects for the likes of Nike, Calvin Klein, adidas and Basic-Fit.

He co-created and co-curated Art of the Terraces, the exhibition that ran for five months at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool.

And he’s Huddersfield born and bred.

Adam comments: “I didn’t realise I was looking for a change, but after working with Smith on an intense freelance project, I quickly saw what a great opportunity this was. It’s an exciting agency with a great team, and I’m looking forward to developing both personally and professionally here.”

After 12 years leading our creative direction, Oli is handing over the reins to focus on our clients and the future of Smith.

Why now?

We’ve grown revenue by 55% in a year. And our clients want creative that shifts sales, margins and recruitment, not just decoration.

Creativity is one of the few unfair advantages a business has left, and that’s why Adam joining takes Smith to the next level.

Welcome to the team, Adam.
