We've worked with Austin Kemp solicitors since 2015. Over the years we've evolved their brand and their website to drive enquiries, educate potential customers and stay ahead of the curve. We initially helped them reposition from commercial solicitors to a specialist family law practice. This move had proven successful with Austin Kemp growing from one office, to 37 across the country.

The Challenge

When a brand works, competitors notice. Over time, Austin Kemp’s peers had started to mimic what made them effective – the look and feel, the messaging, even tools we’d built to create a better user experience. Distinctiveness was eroding. With a partnership built on trust over a decade, we advised the management team that now was the time to rethink.

What We Did

To start the process, we spoke with the entire Austin Kemp solicitors team to understand more about their clients – the questions they were asking, how they were feeling and what they thought. From this insight, we completely rethought the entire Austin Kemp website process, the user journey and how we market.

Key insights have driven smarter design, and helped us create website content that resonates with potential clients. User journeys have been rethought to align with how clients feel in the process.

We evolved the Austin Kemp brand to better reflect a specialist family law firm. A new watercolour aesthetic captures the emotional, caring nature of the work. A human touch, with authority.

Before the rise of AI illustrations, we hired an illustrator to inject a new image style that stood out from the crowd, was infused with the human touch and felt high quality.

Digital Branding

Around 80% of Austin Kemp’s traffic comes from mobile, so the new brand had to stand out on a phone. When potential clients are comparing firms, we wanted Austin Kemp’s site to feel nothing like the rest. We spent months redesigning the new website, analysing current traffic and improving customer journeys. We also worked on audience personas, and designed the new website with those in mind.
