Smith Rebrands Digital 2000

Creative brand and digital agency Smith has recently completed a naming and rebrand for Sheffield headquartered Digital 2000.

Digital 2000, now called SmartSource, helps businesses streamline their costs when buying business supplies, print, workwear and labels.

Smith were approached by SmartSource to help articulate their proposition, create a new brand identity, design and build a website that supports their growth plans.

SmartSource works with businesses throughout the UK, including Aldi, BT, FedEx, DHL, Pets At Home and Bunzl.

Oli Smith, Creative Director at Smith, comments “Naming is a very complicated and subjective process. We were hell-bent that Digital 2000 needed a new name to reflect what they did. We worked through several names and settled on SmartSource. We feel the new name, as well as the standout brand identity and website will help SmartSource in the future. They are a great team and we can’t wait to see what they get up to in the future”

Matt Cotton, Managing Director at the newly named SmartSource comments “Over the last 12 months, it’s been an interesting journey, where we’ve looked at what we do, how we do it, and then how we capture that into a new brand identity. The name Digital2000 served us for many years, and did a great job, however SmartSource clearly expresses what we do, and it will definitely help us move forward”.
