Building a brand
Actiform Group create modular buildings for the NHS, Cadbury’s and various large construction companies. They approached us after realising they needed to update their company image. They knew they needed a new website, and thought it was worthwhile changing their logo too. The real problem was they wanted to work directly with customers, as tier 1 contractors, rather than working as sub-contractors. Although Actiform Group had been around for forty years, they didn’t reflect the confidence and stability in their market – due to their weak brand.
After speaking to the management team, we quickly understood they did two things. They made and sold modular buildings, and then they hired them out too. We were confused, as Actiform had three different names and brand identities. One was Actaccom, which was the manufacture and sale side of the business, Actiform Hire was the hire side – and then they had Actiform Group, which was the name of the group of companies. This was confusing to us, and we knew it was confusing to the outside world too. We suggested moving forward simply with Actiform. This projected confidence and a strong unifying image, both internally and to the outside world.

“We were recommended Smith by another satisfied Client. Oli and his team met with us to discuss re-branding and updating our digital presence. We received a creative, skilled positive presentation which Smith then developed into a new corporate brand/image and a website. Since rebranding, we have seen a massive increase in turnover and profitability with an order book stretching 6 months ahead.”
