Capturing the essence of Bliss Therapies
The Insight
Sam Clarke, the owner of Bliss Therapies asked us to help create a new e-commerce store for her hand-made aromatherapy products. Sam already sold online through platforms like Etsy, but she wanted to have a direct sales channel herself. After speaking to Sam, we realised that there was a huge opportunity to take a look at her brand too. Her products are amazing, inspired by her travels throughout the world and sit at the premium end of the market.
We were tasked with creating a new brand identity and e-commerce website.
The Challenge
Bliss Therapies is based in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire. Slaithwaite is famous for its Moonraking Festival, an annual festival that was derived from an interesting story, which you can read here.
The symbol of the moon, and the relevance to Bliss being in Slaithwaite made sense to us. The moon as a symbol means various things, but we found this sentence quite inspiring ‘The moon is a feminine symbol, universally representing the rhythm of time as it embodies the cycle. The phases of the moon symbolize immortality and eternity, enlightenment or the dark side of Nature herself’.
Inspired by the idea of the moon, we created a distinctive brand identity that helps Bliss stand out on shelf.

Once we’d finished the branding, we helped Bliss Therapies apply the branding to all their product labels.
We created a unique symbol for Bliss. It was inspired by the Slaithwaite Moonraking story, the sweeping hills of the Colne Valley, and the fact that it looked like ingredients infusing together.




We created a unique colour palette for Bliss’s range of sensual fragrances.
