A new brand fit for FrameTech's future
The Insight
FrameTech manufacture timber frames – a modern construction method used for building homes and commercial buildings. Building using a timber frame method allows construction firms to build faster, it’s highly sustainable and it’s more cost-effective compared to traditional methods.
We were tasked with bringing FrameTech’s image up-to-date. Over the years FrameTech had grown into the largest timber frame manufacturer in the North of England, yet their brand and website didn’t reflect this.
Turning over £20 million and with the goal of £40 million, we were briefed with changing the perception of FrameTech and help position them to attract work from national homebuilders.
The Challenge
In 2019 FrameTech were acquired by a private equity firm who owned another timber frame business in Ireland. We proposed aligning the two brands, to signal partnership and to solidify their presence in the market.
We recommended to create a new brand identity that helps FrameTech to stand out from their competitors and reflect their capabilities.
We also worked hard to understand FrameTech’s differentiators, from this, we gave them ‘Build Smarter’ as a strap-line. This captures their ethos of thinking smart about each project they undertake.
