Say hello to low carb living
The Insight
We were approached by We Are Low Carb, a rapidly growing e-commerce business specialising in low carb and keto products to create a new brand and e-commerce website.
The Challenge
When we met Heidi, the founder of We Are Low Carb, we realised that her brand wasn’t fit for purpose. We Are Low Carb sounded generic and like 95% of competition. It wasn’t memorable and we didn’t think it captured the essence of the business. We also uncovered that the purpose of We Are Low Carb wasn’t just about selling products, it was about empowering women to feel better about themselves.
We worked with the We Are Low Carb team and came up with the new name Heylo. Heylo is short, memorable, friendly, and a nod to ‘Hello Low Carb’.

We chose a welcoming colour palette that felt inline with the target audience.


We created a distinctive e-commerce website that brought the Heylo brand to life.

Our designer Kim created a bespoke set of icons for packaging and the website.
The team at Heylo also wanted to create their own product range. We helped create stand-out packaging, which has already caught the attention of several well known high-street retailers.

We chose to work with Smith to rebrand and build us a website that we as a new start up could be proud of and confident would help us grow. They came recommended and they did not disappoint. They worked with me to develop a brand that captures all we want to embody and a website that will improve customer experience and has the scope to push the business forward. The icing on the cake was that a national retailer has now asked if they can stock their items on our website – something they would not have done on our previous brand and website.
Also, the new packaging for Heylo is going to be stocked in a national retailer, which will completely change the game for us.
